I apologize for not posting anything recently, between my first job, second job and night job I have no time to be on the computer – I barely have time for a good night’s sleep!
My original plan for this post was to have a series of photographs that I’ll name ‘Through naked eyes’ (for lack of creativity!) I wear glasses, without them I am BLIND! My friends think that when I don’t wear my glasses I see double – not the case for me. So the goal was to snap some blurry photos that would best represent what I see without my glasses – seeing is different for everybody.
But unfortunately I haven’t had time to pursue that, so here are a few pictures of Bluegrass – my adorable/horrible puppy. I just say that now because he’s chewed up a number of very expensive devices and has grabbed way too many plates of food from the counter.
Sigh – one day he’ll be a good boy.
He looks so tubby in this one!
He likes to go on long adventures with me.
Oh Blu – Why are you so mucky?
I can’t stay mad at him!
Blu would like to thank everyone for stopping by and reading – He would love to stay and chat but as you can see, he is really sleepy!
I love drawing in this style!
I can make loads of mistakes and it looks as if it was intended.
I just created a new blog dedicated to feature art from various artists I have seen on the net. I have just finished the first of many blog posts, this one being about Jessica Doyle. A very amazing whimsy/abstract artist and I have to say that I am completely in love with her work!
I’m attaching a link to my other blog at the foot of this post, please feel free to check it out/comment/follow.

This is my new man Blu, short for Bluegrass. my family and I could not decide between Bandit, Phoenix or Bluegrass so we ended up mixing up nine cards into a hat (Each name was on 3 cards). Best 2 out of 3 wins!
I slowly reached my hand in pulled out a card… Blu
My mom reaches in and pulls out a card… Blu
Blu it is then!
One last thing! I would like to direct your attention to his little paws! They remind me of a marble cake because of the black and pink. Too cute!
I decided to add a new page called ‘Ooodles of Doodles’. It features some of my doodles and other creations. I know I’m not an artist but I love creating, and they’re not all rotten!
This February I had the amazing opportunity to go to The Royal Ontario Museum for a two day conference about the destruction of habitat, specifically grasslands. The Bison Collaboration and Grasslands in Crisis put it together.
Here are a couple photos from my trip.
I stepped out of Union station to be greeted by towering buildings. It was a nice change; the tallest thing in my neighbourhood would be the white pines in the woods around my house.
I stopped into a little church tucked into the corner of an extremely urban street.
This is a picture i've always longed to take! I had a rocking horse similer to this when I was a small child, Seeing it in the church brought back fond memories.
When I was in the Royal Ontario Museum's (ROM) gift shop I was talking to a very lovely man with an English accent. I sighed and said "I would love to visit England one day." The man replied with "Just walk around the corner, the buildings there look as if they were taken right out of England. Minus the Cobblestone." This is one of those buildings.
The front of the ROM, I’m still getting used to my new camera so this image has a double-exposure or something.
This man was sitting outside the ROM on a super cold, blustery day playing some jazz on his saxophone. I then emptied out my change purse into his case. He was very thankful but I felt kind of cheap seeing as how I only managed to scrounge up $2.50.
I love seeing old buildings in among tall buildings!
This was my veiw out of the hotel window. I just downloaded a new editing software so most of these images are in multiple stages of editing.

I got inspiration from the movie The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus and the lovely Lily Cole who plays Dr. Parnassus’s daughter Valentina.
“And the raven, never flitting, still
is sitting, still is sitting On the pallid bust of Pallas just above my chamber door; And his eyes have all the seeming of a demon’s that is dreaming,
And the lamp-light o’er him streaming throws his shadow on the floor;
And my soul from out that shadow that lies floating on the floor
Shall be lifted – nevermore!”

I grabbed my sketchbook last night and just started
doodling. I didn’t have a goal picture in my mind.
It resulted in this, which I think is kind of cute. I was just going to leave it as
a pencil drawing but I got inspired to take it to the next level. I don’t know
if I should do it in paint, coloured pencils or a charcoal, I suppose I’ll have
to figure that out soon.
I have not yet got a mental image or inspiration to try and work one up for the background. I started debating with myself wether or not I need a background for this drawing. Seems like its lacking something though.
